Fishawack Festival Fills Downtown Chatham on Saturday

Police advise of numerous road closures throughout the day.

The annual Fishawack Festival and all of the events planned throughout the day Saturday will cause a number of road closures.

Overnight parking Friday was prohibited in the train station parking lot. 

There will be intermittent road closures during the Fishawack Run along Washington Avenue from Front Street southward to Fairview Avenue.

Fairmount Avenue between Main Street and Second Street, South Passaic Avenue from Main Street to Fire House Plaza, Post Office Plaza and Fire House Plaza will be closed to vehicular traffic from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.

There will be limited parking at train station south after the run and during the day with access from Front Street only. 

On street parking will be permitted throughout the borough all day Saturday.

In addition to the run, the Fishawack Festival will also feature the Train Station Centennial Celebration, including the Underpass Mural unveiling and the Guinness Book of World Records Whistle Blow.
