Chathamites Earn Purdue Honors

The university's equivalent to the Dean's List requires a GPA of at least 3.5.

Two natives of Chatham earned academic honors at Purdue University for the 2012 spring semester.

The two students, Samit Sura and Craig Brissman, met the university's requirements for the honors list. They each earned at least a 3.5 out of a 4.0 cumulative grade point average.

Located in West Lafayette, Ind., Purdue University is known for its science, technology, engineering and math programs. The university was founded in 1869 and houses major research institutions. The university has a student population of over 39,000 from all 50 states and 130 countries, and offers about 850 student organizations and Big Ten Boilermaker athletics.
