Chatham Resident Earns Cum Laude Honors

Dean Hinnegan-Stevenson graduates from James Madison University.

 

Dean Hinnegan-Stevenson, a resident of Chatham, completed his bachelor of business administration degree in international business from James Madison University in May.

Hinnegan-Stevenson completed his graduation requirements and graduated cum laude in the commencement exercises.

The president of James Madison University, Dr. Linwood H. Rose, is stepping down from his role on June 30. At the graduation ceremony on Saturday, May 5, he conferred degrees on about 3,560 undergraduate students and 558 graduate students.

James Madison University is part of the statewide system of public higher education in Virginia and is the only university in America named for President James Madison. The university offers programs on the bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels with its primary emphasis on the undergraduate student.
