The 41st annual Fishawack Festival is here!

This year, Chatham Borough's largest downtown festival is themed, "Fishawack with Friends."

According to Fishawack President Chris Tomaino, a graphic design student from designed the T-shirt for this year's festival.

Fishawack was held every other year since 1971, but in 2010 officials announced that they would start holding the festival every year.

The 2012 festival is sponsored by , Overlook Medical Center and Pipeworks Services.

According to the National Weather Service, weather Saturday is predicted to be partly sunny with a high of 84 degrees and a light breeze. There is a 30 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms, mostly after 4 p.m.

Here is a schedule of Saturday's Fishawack events:

8 a.m.: Day-of registration opens for the 35th Fishawack Run, both the 9 a.m. one-mile fun run and the four-mile run at 9:30 a.m.

9 a.m. The begins. It's a prelude to the four-mile run right afterward. Both are organized by the and start at the at 21 Lum Ave.

9:30 a.m. The begins. Registration is $25, and anyone interested is encouraged to sign up as soon as possible. T-shirts are guaranteed for only the first 300 to register

The run benefits the ECLC School, the , local Boy Scout and Girl Scout Troops, local scholarship funds and local Parent-Teacher Organizations.

10 a.m. . In the downtown Main Street area, businesses will sell handmade jewelry, plates, purses, children's clothes, accessories, collectibles, wood carvings, candles and more.

Along Firehouse Plaza, food vendors will their goods so that attendees can eat their food and enjoy the entertainment at the Chatham Borough Gazebo at the same time.

10:45 a.m. Outdoor entertainment begins at the gazebo at the corner of Firehouse Plaza and Fairmount Avenue. Students from Chatham's start the day with a recital.

11 a.m. Children's activities begin behind , 214 Main St. Lucky Star Amusements will put up rides for children, and the off-track train will be present.

11:30 a.m. Students from World Champion's K Tae Kwon Do give a demonstration of their martial arts skills at the gazebo in Reasoner Park.

Noon Borough Mayor Bruce Harris will preside over the Mayor's Awards, a ceremony at the gazebo honoring the borough's volunteers.

12:30 p.m. The performs at the gazebo.

1:30 p.m. performs at the gazebo.

3 p.m. The children's activities behind the library close.

4 p.m. Business vendors close for the day. Local band No Shame plays at the gazebo.

5 p.m. Food vendors close for the day. The festival officially ends.
