Turkey Drive Saturday, Nov. 23

The Community Foodbank of NJ's annual November tradition, the turkey drive, returns this Saturday, Nov. 23.  Hundreds of staff members and vounteers will fan out at dozens of locations around North Jersey, collecting turkeys and much-needed food.  The local collection site is the Chatham United Methodist Church, 460 Main Street.  Volunteers, including Boy Scouts from Troop 8, will be on hand to accept donations from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

The FoodBank expects to distribute approximately 32,000 turkeys this holiday season to it's 1,100 member agencies, including food pantries, soup kitchens, and homeless shelters.  Contributing to this drive is a wonderful opportunity for local citizens to make a difference, and help those in need.

If you are able to help, please drop off your donation of a frozen turkey and/or nonperishable foods at the the truck which will be parked at the West end of the church, just off the Main Street entrance to the Chatham Middle School.

Thank you for remembering your neighbors in need!  Happy Thanksgiving.
