Hometowne Television's Upcoming Annual Meeting
HomeTowne Television®, a non-profit local access station based in Summit, will host its Annual Autumn meeting at the Reeves-Reed Arboretum on Sunday, Sept. 22.
Marketing, Membership and News Sourcing from HomeTowne Television’s coverage area is the station’s primary focus for its 2013-2014 season. As the local community access station, HomeTowne’s primary task is to be the source of information and the voice of the community.
HomeTowne Television’s President Fred Honold feels strongly that community media involves and engages people from all walks of life. “Our station informs the community so that viewers can form opinions about topics that affect their communities,” Honold said. “We aim to elevate the level of conversation in our neighborhoods about the people, organizations and events that impact the daily lives of our family, neighbors and friends.”

Paula Mooney, HomeTowne’s EVP of Marketing, will share the station’s plan for increasing viewer awareness and excitement for all the local shows available on Comcast TV/36 and Verizon TV33. HomeTowne’s Board Members and selected news anchors are expected at the meeting.
HomeTowne TV’s weekly news broadcast features stories from The Independent Press, The Millburn Item and Summit Patch. ‘Your Community, Your News’ on Hometowne TV four times a day, every day at 7 and 11 both a.m. and p.m.

A nonprofit public access and award-winning station, HTTV broadcasts via Verizon channel 33 and Comcast channel 36 to Summit, Millburn/Short Hills, Berkeley Heights, New Providence, Madison, Springfield, Mountainside, the Chathams, Cranford, East Hanover, Florham Park, Hillside, Kenilworth, Westfield, Bernards Township, Long Hill Township, the Mendhams, Morristown, Warren, Livingston, Maplewood, Morris Plains, Plainfield, Roselle Park, Scotch Plains, South Orange, West Orange and Union. HTTV has been the recipient of several Telly Awards and most recently a JAM Award.
HTTV HomeCasting® Video on Demand features special programs, shows of general interest, program listings, sports and municipal meetings. Founded more than 30 years ago, the station relies on membership contributions and grants for most of its funding.
As a community service multimedia production and distribution company, HTTV maintains a full-service studio in Summit, located at 70 Maple Street, where shows are produced to inform, inspire and educate the community.
