New Library Director Talks Books, Technology

Chatham Township police appointments on committee agenda.

The Library of the Chathams invites resident to meet new Library Director Karen Brodsky from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the library.

Brodsky will help residents discover the diverse space "Where Books Meet the Cloud."

In an informal setting, Brodsky will discuss some of her choices for good reading, and will showcase some of the tools available to computer users, including cloud computing.

"The Library of the Chathams provides traditional print materials for our patrons, and is also a place to learn about technology and its applications," an announcement for the event says.

The Library of the Chathams is located at 214 Main Street, Chatham Borough. Light refreshments will be provided. Parking is available behind the library, and in municipal parking lots downtown. For more information call 973-635-0603.

Township Committee: The Chatham Township Committee is scheduled to meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the municipal building, 58 Meyersville Road. The appointment of police officers is among the items on the agenda (PDF).
