The art of afternoon tea was perfected during the Victorian era. On Saturday, September 15, at 2:30 p.m., guests can savor this traditional repast in the 19th-century ambiance of Acorn Hall. The three-course Harvest Tea will include delectable finger sandwiches, scones, desserts, and a choice of hot teas. Acorn Hall’s Oakleaf Gallery gift shop will be open and attendees will receive a special 10% shopping discount that day. Acorn Hall, headquarters of the Morris County Historical Society, is at 68 Morris Avenue in Morristown.
Proceeds from this annual event benefit the Society’s programs. As space is limited, advance reservations are required by Monday, September 10, and tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost is $30 for non-members and $25 for MCHS members. The Morris County Historical Society, founded in 1946, is a volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging and developing appreciation and understanding of the history of Morris County and the State of New Jersey.
