More About Chatham United Methodist Church
The Chatham United Methodist Church was founded in 1786 and has continued to develop its history in the 200-plus years since.
The church moved into its current building in 1956, and its sanctuary was completed in 1962. It has fifteen stained glass windows in its sanctuary, some of which were dedicated in 1989.
On Sundays, there is a 9am family worship service at the church. At 10am there is an Education Hour/Brunch, and at 11am a traditional worship service is held. From June 14 through Sept. 13 there is an informal service and communion at 8am and a family worship at 10am.
The church offers a variety of musical opportunities. Members can participate in a choir, and some of the church's choirs are designed specifically for children. There is also a bell choir at the church.
The church's senior pastor is the Rev. Dr. E. Richard Knox.
