Why Does Your Pet Eat Grass?

Have you ever wondered why your pet eats grass? Could the reason just be the taste? Our research shows that eating grass can be normal for dogs and cats. There are some different theories explaining why this is the case.

For cats, one theory is the juice in the grass contains folic acid, which is an essential vitamin that they received from their mother's milk. Sometimes cats throw up after eating grass because they lack the necessary enzymes to break it down in their system.

For dogs, grass can actually aid them in digestion. The issue is if there is an accidental ingestion of grass that has been treated with chemicals. If you notice your dog is eating grass frequently, a trip to the vet might be necessary because it could be more serious. This is important to do for both dogs and cats.

In the end, there seems to be several different reasons why dogs and cats like to eat grass... What do you think?
