A turkey made its way across Shunpike Road Tuesday afternoon as cars stopped to marvel at its passing.
The animal walked across the street near Chatham Day School, unaware that anything was amiss. His trip was a safe one, thanks to the alert drivers at the scene.
Many thanks to Janice Coviello for having the fast fingers to snap a photo before the turkey crossed the road.
