So who is Chatham's top dog? Meet Tomba, the dog of Morgan Earle.
Tomba first came to our attention almost two years ago when we profiled Morgan's sister Abbey, who trains companion dogs with Canine Companions for Independence (CCI), a national non-profit.
Abbey said, "I got involved with CCI because my older sister Morgan has disabilities and she has a service dog, Tomba, who has completely changed her life. Watching what a huge difference he has played in her life made me want to help other people."
Morgan takes Tomba with her everywhere. We've seen her in the streets of Chatham and Madison doing everything from shopping to reading a book at Starbucks.
Besides being a gorgeous golden retriever, we're also impressed with what Tomba is able to do for Morgan. When he walks into the room, everyone takes a moment to admire him. He's an ice-breaker for Morgan: And of course, who can resist him when he picks up Morgan's water bottle and carries it in his mouth for her?
For how functional he is, how disciplined he is, how helpful he is and how adorable he is, we are proud to name Tomba as Chatham's Top Dog.

Very proud of Tomba and everything he has given to Morgan. Tomba was born in our home in Northern Calfornia. Please donate to Canine Companions for Independence at www.cci.org to help more puppies grow into Service Dogs like Tomba.
