Chatham Township after the October snowstorm.

Chatham was hit hard by the early winter snow storm Saturday, which caused trees, branches and power wires to fall throughout the borough and township.

The School District of the Chathams canceled school Monday die to the weather, and NJ Transit suspended train service along the Morris & Essex line.

Chatham Borough and Chatham Township Police Departments ask all residents to avoid the roads and stay indoors as much as possible Monday while officials work on restoring power, and trick-or-treating is delayed to Friday.
