Pascarella Bros. Delicatessen

With the Chatham Borough Farmers’ Market underway, look out for some new vendors this year

This year the Pascarella Bros. Delicatessen is making its first appearance at the Chatham Borough Farmers Market.

A deli and catering business, the delicatessen offers “different specialty items every week,” said Anthony Pascarella, co-owner of Pascarella Bros. Delicatessen.

The Pascarella Bros. Delicatessen has been open on Watchung Avenue in Chatham, for the past year and a half, but they are no strangers to the area. Anthony and Gino Pascarella, brothers and owners of the delicatessen, grew up in and around Chatham.

According to their website, Anthony is a Madison High School graduate who currently lives in Chatham while Gino is a Chatham High School graduate and current resident of Madison.

The family-owned business specializes in gluten-free food. In addition to gluten-free cookies, they offer “gluten-free prepared foods [and] gluten-free lunch. [Customers] can come in and order just about anything off the menu and we have separate section where we don’t cross contaminate,” Anthony said.

Their booth at the Farmers Market has a wide variety of prepared foods, including gluten-free options, which change throughout the day. One morning recently, the Pascarella Bros Delicatessen sold bagels and gourmet breakfast sandwiches in the morning and put out zucchini rollatini and chicken apple sausage for lunch.

A new regular at the Famers’ Market, the website for the Chatham Borough Farmers Market has the Pascarella Bros. Delicatessen scheduled to appear every Saturday throughout the season, and their business on Watchung Avenue is open seven days a week.
