Regular Service Returns to Morris & Essex Line

NJ Transit will continue to operate shuttle service out of Chatham, Madison and Convent stations.

Regular weekday midtown direct service will resume between Dover and New York Penn Station and Summit and New York Penn Station starting Monday, according to information on the New Jersey Transit website.

Shuttle service will continue to operate once an hour between Summit and Hoboken, and between Chatham, Madison and Convent stations and Liberty State Park, with ferry service from there to Battery State Park.

The Morris & Essex line also resumed regular weekend service on Saturday, including connecting Montclair-Boonton Line service to and from Hoboken.

This is the first time the line has offered regular service since Tropical Storm Sandy hit the region on Oct. 29. Limited service resumed on Monday, Nov. 12.

Complete eastbound and wesbound weekday schedules and weekend schedules for the Morris and Essex line can be found in the Photos & Documents section of this article.

Oh, they keep proclaiming that they have all rail lines but one up and running.. 3 hour commutes are not up and running. Or 1 train an hour. If all railings have some rains using them then why not more trains?..simple answer ...they left all of their equipment in Hoboken!! If they were Jersey smart ,they left all of their old equipment there...on purpose.
