$1,200 in Laptops Stolen from Township Home

A River Edge Drive home was broken into on Jan. 18.

 

Chatham Township Police said a River Edge Drive resident reported two laptops stolen from her residence on Friday, Jan. 18.

Unforced entry was gained to the home during the day and two laptops, valued at $1,200, were taken, according to Township Police Lt. Steve Hennelly.

The Detective Bureau has taken over investigation of the case.

"Unforced entry"? People are still leaving doors opened to homes and cars, and are shocked when they are burglarized. The folks with unlocked doors are the easiest mark on the block - don't be so surprised.
