Chatham Borough Police respond to a car accident Wednesday on Fairmount Avenue.

Chatham Borough Police and Fire Department responded to the scene of a car accident Wednesday afternoon.
The accident occurred at about 2:30 p.m. near the intersection of Fairmount Avenue and Chandler Road, just north of Fair Mount Cemetery. Members of the Chatham Emergency Squad were also seen near the scene.
Police guided motorists north and south on Fairmount Avenue after the accident. Traffic was delayed in both directions.
Details of the cause of or injuries resulting from the car accident were not immediately available Wednesday afternoon.
