Chatham Grads Make Mt. St. Mary's Dean's List

Four students from Chatham earn honors at the Maryland university.

 

At Mount St. Mary's College in Emmitsburg, Md., 559 students made the 2012 spring semester Dean's List. Four Chatham natives are among them:

  • Lauren Hagens a freshman from Chatham, NJ and the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Richard Hagens
  • Claire Higgins a sophomore from Chatham, NJ and the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Kevin Higgins
  • Kyle McDonough a sophomore from Chatham, NJ and the son of Mr. & Mrs. Darren McDonough
  • Anne Walters a sophomore from Chatham, NJ and the daughter of Ms. Martha Jane Walters

Higgins and Walters also made the Dean's List for the fall semester.

Established in 1808, Mount St. Mary's University is the nation's second-oldest Catholic university in the nation, with Georgetown University the oldest. Commonly called "The Mount," the university is rated in the top 25 Catholic Universities in the country as one of the most 'Faithful and Affordable'.
