Good news for Chatham Borough residents this Election Day: All polling places have their power restored after Tropical Storm Sandy, so residents can report to their usual polling places between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. to vote Tuesday.

Three candidates are running for two possible seats on the Chatham Borough Council. Republican incumbents Len Resto and John Holman are both running for a second term on the council, while Democratic challenger Michael Yodice hopes to take one of the seats.

Three regular-term seats on the Morris County Board of Freeholders are up for election, with Democrats Wasim Kahn, Toshiba Foster (Morristown) and Joy Singh taking on GOP candidates John Cesaro, John Krickus and David Scapicchio. Republican Hank Lyon will face Democrat Truscha Quatrone for an unexpired term.

In the 11th Congressional district, longtime Republican Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen, who faced no opposition in the GOP primary, will take on Democratic Challenger John Arvanites, who also had no opponents in the primary. 

In the United States Senate, incumbent Bob Menendez (D), the junior United States Senator from New Jersey who was first appointed in 2006 to fill Jon Corzine's seat, takes on Republican challenger Joe Kyrillos, who easily defeated three opponents in the primary.

President Barack Obama will face former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney for control of the White House.

Chatham Borough has a total of 6,131 registered voters, including 1,368 Democrats, 1,956 Republicans and 2,783 unaffiliated voters.

In the 2008 Presidential election, just over 51 percent of borough residents voted for then-GOP candidate Sen. John McCain.

Here are the places you should vote. If you do not know your district number, it is printed on the sample ballot that was mailed to your home:

• District 1 and 3 residents vote in the gym at Milton Avenue Elementary, 16 Milton Ave.
  District 2 residents vote in the meeting room at the Chatham Borough Firehouse, 1 Firehouse Plz.
• District 4 and 9 residents vote in the main room at Chatham United Methodist Church, 460 Main St.
• District 5 and 7 residents vote in the gym at Washington Avenue Elementary, 102 Washington Ave.
• District 6 and 8 residents vote in the gym at the ECLC School, 21 Lum Ave.
