UPDATE: Chatham Schools, Train Station Closed Wednesday
Further closures will be determined day by day.
Further closures will be determined on a day-by-day evaluation of public safety, power restoration and the clean-up of trees and utility wires.
Crosson also said the southern parking lot at the Chatham NJ Transit station will be closed through Wednesday because of two utility poles which are completely uprooted and two other utility poles which snapped in half during Tropical Storm Sandy.
"Trains are suspended through Wednesday, so we're going to close the entire south side of the train station lot," Crosson said. "We're not allowing anyone in for eastbound trains, but it's really a moot point because there are no eastbound trains."
Residents will be able to use the spaces to charge cellular phones, laptops and other electronic devices.
Garbage, recycling and leaf collection have been suspended in the borough.
The Department of Public Works will perform a one-time curbside brush pickup beginning Monday. Limbs must be less than four inches in diameter for the pickup.
The collection will not include leaves, plastic or brown bags or limbs cut by private tree companies.
Leaf bags are available at the mulch area near Washington Avenue School.
