Anti-Bullying Presentation Monday at Chatham High

Library holds annual book sale, features $5 bag sale on Tuesday.

 

The Chatham Board of Education will meet Monday night and the Township Board of Adjustment will meet Thursday night. Both meetings will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Here's a look at what else is happening this week:

Monday—Barbara Coloroso, author of  "The Bully, the Bullied and the Bystander" and "Kids Are Worth It," will give a presentation to parents at Chatham High School at 7 p.m. She will discuss how to instill ethics and responsibility in children and how to teach them appropriate ways to respond to bullies.

Tuesday—The Library of the Chathams annual book sale continues with a $5 bag sale from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. You can fill your bag with books, DVDs, videos and CDs, with the proceeds going toward the purchase of new library materials and equipment as well as funding for children's programs.

Wednesday—John Carlson, a magician, ventriloquist and family entertainer, will perform at a fundraiser for the Chatham volunteer firefighters at Juniper Village at Chatham at 7 p.m.

Thursday—Associate curator Angela Sergonis will discuss at the Morris Museum the illustrations of Antonio Petruccelli, which are currently on display at the museum, from 6 to 7 p.m.

Friday—The Chatham Players will continue their production of "Glengarry Glen Ross" at the Chatham Playhouse Friday and Saturday nights at 8 p.m. The performance is not suited for young children.

Saturday—The Morris Museum Astronomical Society will host Astro Day with a children's science workshop from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., followed by a chance to observe the night sky from 7 to 9 p.m.

Sunday—The Macculloch Hall Historical Museum in Morristown will host Hearth and Home Family Day from 1 to 4 p.m. Those in attendance will learn about children’s chores and family life in 1810. Reservations are requested.
