The week of June 25, 2012, The Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township sent 23 youth and 7 adult chaperones to New Orleans, Louisiana to work with Habitat for Humanity.  The group consisted of the following people:

Rick Ahsler, Chuck Bischoff, George Bischoff, Brad Cook, Emily Cook, Amanda Curcio, Lizzie Eisenhardt, Jen Eisenhardt, Rob Eisenhardt, George Elston, Helena Elston, Emma Harris, Michelle Hayes, Tracy Hayes, Amanda Helfrich, Emily Hoffman, Megan Hoffman, Ian Holmes, Meghan Lyons, Will MacCallum, Tyler Magill, Garrett McAuliffe, Lauren Monson, McCall Moore, Kerry Nelson, Kris Nester, Jordan Phelan, Emily Smart

They were housed in a local Methodist church, where they prepared their own meals.  The week’s work project entailed construction of a house in the Seventh Ward, where they installed windows and doors, sheeted the roof, attached siding, caulked the interior, built a closet and added to the structure of the front porch.  The group also enjoyed one day off in the city, dining on local cuisine and enjoying a river boat jazz cruise.  For more information on this, or future trips, please contact Michelle Hayes, Director of Youth Ministries, mhayes@pcct-nj.org
